Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how The Jordan Media FZ LLC, trading as The Lazy Startup ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website, submit a form, or book a call with us. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
1. Who we are
The Jordan Media FZ LLC, trading as The Lazy Startup. Registered in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Contact: [email protected].
2. The data we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Your full name, email address, and phone number, provided when you book a call or submit a form. |
| Booking data | The date, time, and details of any appointment you schedule with us, and your responses to any questions on our forms. |
| Communications | Messages you exchange with us by email, phone, or WhatsApp. |
| Technical & usage | IP address, device and browser information, and pages viewed, collected via cookies and similar technologies (including the LinkedIn Insight Tag). |
3. How we collect your data
We collect data directly from you when you complete our booking form or contact us, and automatically through cookies and tracking technologies when you use our website. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
4. How we use your data and our lawful bases
Under the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following lawful bases:
- To deliver the service you requested — scheduling and conducting your call, and related service messages such as confirmations and reminders (performance of a contract / taking steps at your request).
- Marketing communications — sending you insights, updates, and offers by email, phone, or WhatsApp, where you have given consent, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in marketing to business contacts. You can opt out at any time.
- Analytics and advertising — understanding website performance and measuring advertising, based on your consent to non-essential cookies and/or our legitimate interests.
- Legal and security — meeting legal obligations and protecting our business (legal obligation / legitimate interests).
5. Marketing and messaging (email, phone & WhatsApp)
If you opt in, we may contact you by email, phone, and WhatsApp with communications about our services. Message frequency varies, and standard message and data rates may apply to SMS or WhatsApp messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about a call you have booked.
Your messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, including:
- HighLevel (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) — our CRM, forms, scheduling, and messaging platform.
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) — where you communicate with us by WhatsApp.
- LinkedIn — for advertising measurement via the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where required by law.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UAE and the UK/EEA, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
8. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising (including the LinkedIn Insight Tag). You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its effective date.
